EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM  WHEEL OPENING MOULDING  INSTALLATION

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

·

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.



PROCEDURE

Hide 75606A 1.INSTALL QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

HINT:

When installing the quarter outside moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter outside moulding using a heat light.


Standard:
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Quarter Outside Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)


NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or quarter outside moulding excessively.


a.

Clean the vhecle body surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.


ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body surface.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

i.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



ii.

Attach the 9 clips to install the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

HINT:

Press the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH firmly to install it.



iii.

Install the 2 clips.



Hide 65632B 2.INSTALL REAR WHELL HOUSE FRONT PLATE LH

a.

Install the screw.


b.

Attach the clip to install the rear wheel house front plate LH.


Hide 75602A 3.INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

HINT:

When installing the front fender moulding, heat the vehicle body and front fender moulding using a heat light.


Standard:

Install the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

i.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



ii.

Attach the 8 clips to install the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

HINT:

Press the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH firmly to install it.



iii.

Install the 2 clips labeled A and clip labeled B.



Hide 76622D 4.INSTALL FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard)

a.

Install the front fender mudguard LH with the 3 screws.


b.

Install the clip.
